Responsibilities
The Philomath School Board is responsible for providing a quality educational program for approximately 1,600 students in grades
K-12. Their main job is to set District Policy. Board members serve four-year terms on a volunteer basis.

Meetings

School Board meetings are currently held the third Monday of each month at Philomath High School unless otherwise noted on the agenda. Traditionally, the Philomath School Board meets at Blodgett Elementary School during the month of October (17th) and at Kings Valley Charter School in March (19th).

All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions as authorized by law. Time is set aside at the business meeting for public comments. Meetings typically begin at 7:00 PM. To place an item on the agenda, contact Janet Skaugset at the District Office (541-929- 3169) at least two weeks prior to the meeting.
