Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I get to see my Counselor?

A: We are in room 43. You can come down any time to sign up to talk to your Counselor. Many times you can walk right in. Parents are encouraged to call or email to make an appointment.

Q: When can I change my schedule?

A: We ask that you set up your schedule for the year in August at registration. If you need to make changes during the school year, see your Counselor. You can drop and add classes during the first five days of the new term. You may drop a class during the first three weeks of the term but cannot add a new class after the first five days. Any classes dropped after three weeks will result in a fail for the class and will affect your academic record.

Q: Where are the SAT and ACT registration forms?
A:
Sign up online at www.collegeboard.com for SAT and www.act.org for ACT. You'll need our school code, 380820, when you register.

Q: Where are the scholarship applications?
A: Scholarship applications can be found in the Guidance Center, along the westwall. A bulletin is updated weekly by a parent volunteer. We post this information in the Guidance Center and on the Guidance Center Home Page.

Q: What is the high school code?
A: 380 820

Q: How do I request an official copy of my transcript?

A: Official transcripts must be requested in writing. If you are under 18, you must have parental permission. Forms are available in the guidance center. The first three are free. After three, the cost is $2.00 per transcript.

Q: Can I have a copy of my academic record/transcript?
A: Yes, you may get a copy of your updated academic record. See your counselor for a copy. If the counselors are not available, the Guidance Center secretary, Mrs. Kilgore, can assist you.
