Seniors: There will be a required meeting in the auditorium Thursday during advisory. Several items will be discussed so it is important that you be there as this information will not be presented again.
Sophomores and juniors - are you interested in being a Link Leader to next year's freshmen? If so, stop by and pick up an application from the guidance center, the library, or Mr. Kelly. Applications are due on Thursday, May 23rd.
There will be a National Honor Society meeting on Monday, May 17 in Mrs. Stueve's room 111. All NHS members should attend.
Seniors interested in doing a speech at graduation or singing at graduation - auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday during advisory, right after school on Wednesday and call backs if needed will be during advisory on Thursday. Please see Dallas Caples for more information. Please provide a printed copy of your speech or song when you audition.
Tuesday there will be a junior class meeting for ALL juniors in the auditorium during advisory. Report right to the auditorium after 5th. All other classes will report to their regular advisory class. Juniors running for class offices will be speaking and you will be getting early information pertaining to becoming seniors!

Watch career analyst Dan Pink examine the puzzle of motivation, starting with a fact that social scientists know but most managers don't. Traditional rewards aren't always as effective as we think. Bring your lunch to Mr. Lake's room and participate in this TED Talk Tuesday.

Also, there are quit a few seniors signed up for Senior Skip Day - please turn in your forms and money to the main office as soon as possible. Extra forms are available in the main office.
The Buck Philpott, Gary Cox, and Louie Locke Scholarships are due this Friday to Mrs. Garvin in the athletic office!

She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions - - motion, speech, self-awareness - - shut down one by one. Bring your lunch to Mr. Lakes's room and participate in this TED Talk Tuesday.

Hay Help - wanted for one or two days this summer. Maybe some other chores, too But first I need to get hay for our sheep and draft horses, and usually it is close by Philomath. We haul it from the field and stack it in the barn. Please call Harry Lehman, 541-929-3782 if you want to work.
Do you think you have Perfect Attendance? If so, come by the main office and see if your name is listed on the board in front of the main office. If you think you should be on and you aren't, please see Barbie right away.

We are making forms available in the hallway to anyone who would like to create a powdertuff team. Players must be from one class. You will get the opportunity to play against your other teams from the class for the chance to represent your class on the night of June 7th for the final games. Forms will be due on by May 17th and teams must have 6-8 players. If you are interested in learning more about this homegoing activity then come to an informational meeting Monday, May 13th in the Community Conference Room during lunch. T-shirt colors will be decided at this time.

Prom will be on Saturday, May 11, from 8:00-11:00 at the Philomath Scout Lodge. Dress is formal for this "Secret Garden" affair. Tickets are available for purchase at lunch today and Friday (main office) and at the door on Saturday.
The date for Baccalaureate has been changed to Sunday, June 9th at 7:00 pm at PHS in the Community Conference Room. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please alert your parents as the Graduation Timeline indicates the previous date.

Just a reminder that the PHS Botany Plant Sale continues today, Friday, from 12-4pm and tomorrow, Saturday, from 9am-4pm. We have great gifts for mothers day.

A representative from Labor Ready will be here during lunch in Mrs. Longsway's room #115 today to discuss the job openings in Newport that are posted on the job board, this is available for anyone who will be 18 years old by the time the summer job begins.
The Botany class will be having a plant sale on May 9th and 10th from Noon to 4:00 pm and May 11th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the PHS Greenhouse. Come support Botany by purchasing flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs grown by PHS Students and it's just in time for Mother's Day.
