Last Dance! This Friday night will be the last dance at PHS this year and the LAST dance EVER to be held in gym 2! Come to the Glow Dance sponsored by Aaron Davis for Mr. PHS. The dance will be from 8-10:30 and will cost $4. Glow necklaces and bracelets will be sold at the dance.

Forestry Students All Forestry students wanting to compete at the Sabin skills day Saturday April 9th and Knappa skills day Saturday April 16th need to pick up permission slips from the forestry building and get them in by the deadline at the bottom of the permission slip.

Seniors - All Night Party request Please remind your parents that Mrs. Payne is still in need of the photo's for the all night party DVD. She is hoping to receive 1 senior portrait, 1 from younger years, 3 from highschool activities, sports, friends, or hatever "defines" you.

If you like to work with children and can plan a few activities and crafts then I have a great senior project for you. Come see me during lunch or after school as soon as possible to talk about putting on the kids korner at the Philomath Frolic this summer. If you have any questions come see me!

In a wonderful stroke of luck, the Willamette Valley Scholastic Art Award's Curator's Award winner has decided not to accept the $500 scholarship to the Pacific NW College of Art this summer. Benton Co. Historical Museum curator Mark Tolonen has chosen sophomore Astraea Vanderlinden as his second choice! Congratulations Astraea!

German Bake Sale The German Club is having their wonderful bake sale Tuesday at lunch in front of the office. All cookies, brownies, cupcakes and more are $1 each. All proceeds go to the trip to Germany in June

FIRST Team Competition On Friday PHRED won the -- "Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen" (Dean Kamesn's late father) PHRED placed 14th overall in the seeding rounds, the highest ranked team in the mid-valley! Team 956 (Santiam Christian HS) placed just behind PHRED being15th in the ranking. This is great for the mid-valley teams! There were 58 teams competing at the regional. On Saturday PHRED was selected by the second ranked team 1510 (WestView HS) to compete with them along with 1540 (Catlin Gable) 12th ranked team to form the alliance for the elimination rounds. PHRED performed its primary design goals and strategy flawlessly enabling the alliance to move into quarter finals. The quarter finals were a great challenge to the alliance and the alliance was eliminated. This is the second year in a row that PHRED has competed in the elimination rounds.
