Second Semester Begins

We have reached the half way point for the 2012-2013 school year. The students started Monday with their new schedules and new elective classes. The report cards for the first semester have been mailed home and we will have an Honor Roll Assembly on Friday, February 15. At this assembly we will recognize students that achieved Honor Roll status, and a special presentation will be made to the Pompe family. Please check the Newsletter link on this web page for more detailed events that are taking place this month. The Newsletter page is updated monthly with a calendar of events on the last page. As always please contact the school office if you have any questions regarding school events or procedures.

Philomath Middle School

Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year

We are preparing and looking forward to another great school year.
The middle school roof is currently being replaced with a new roof, and is scheduled to be complete before school begins.
The first day of school for sixth grade students is on Monday, September 10th. The school day begins at 8:05 and ends at 3:05. The first day for seventh and eighth grade students is on Tuesday, September 11th.
The Philomath School District has adopted an Early Release Wedndesday school calendar for 2012-2013. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays the students will be released from school at 3:05. On Wednesdays the students will be released at 1:40. We are planning alternative learning activities and study hall time for students on Wednesdays from 1:40 to 3:00. Buses will be leaving the campus after the 1:40 release, so please plan accordingly. If you are interested in having your student participate in an after school Wednesday activity please pay attention to the school newsletter and bulletins which will have more information.

We look forward to having the students back at Philomath Middle School.
