Cast of Characters

Thank you to all who tried out. You were awesome! The following cast announcement has two lists, Cast A is on the left and Cast B is on the right. EVERYONE was given a role in Cast A and Cast B. For some of you, you will play the same role in both casts, others will have a more major role in one cast and a more minor role in the other. Please study both lists carefully so that you know exactly what you have been cast for. THE FIRST REHEARSAL IS TOMORROW, Dec. 15 from 3:00-5:00. At this rehearsal you will receive a script, a calendar for rehearsals and possibly some music. If you are a girls basketball player and unable to attend rehearsal, see Mrs. Crocker before 3:00.


Cast A will be performing at 7pm on Thursday, March 8 and Friday March 9. Cast B will be performing at 1pm and 7pm on Saturday, March 10. Each of the Casts will also be presenting two day-time performances to school students, time/date TBA but between March 8 and March 13.

I am sorry this is late, but the directors have been agonizing over difficult decisions. We need to see the following people at LUNCH time...11:46 in the band room tomorrow. You are welcome to bring your lunch, and some water, but please get there as soon as possible.

Holiday Concert-Dec 8

The Holiday Band Concert will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7:00pm. Students should report to the school gym by 6:43 dressed in the concert dress of Blue Band Shirt and Black pants. 8th Grade Ensemble members should report by 6:32pm.

There will be a Holiday Concert Assembly on Friday morning, Dec. 9 at 8:10. Students should report to the gym by 7:56 am. dressed in the concert dress of blue band shirt and black pants.

Mulan Auditions!

Auditions for the school play "Mulan Jr" will be held on Monday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 13 from 3:00-5:30pm in the school library. 7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team members may audition on Tuesday only, due to a game on Monday. The BB students will have picture day on the 13th and as soon as pictures are done, interested students should report to auditions in the library. Call backs will be posted here by 8pm Tuesday the 13th. Call backs will happen on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

The first rehearsal which includes script/material handout, will be held on Thursday, Dec 15 from 3:00-5:00pm.

Swing Dance Classes Thursdays in January

We will be hosting a family swing dance class on Thursday nights in January from 6:30-7:30pm. This family class appropriate for all ages, will be held in the PMS multi-purpose room, and will cost $10 per family for the whole series of Thursday night classes. (Thats $10 for 1-20 members of the same family for 4 Thursday night classes).

In order to run this class, we need at least 6 families to sign up prior to the first meeting, Thursday, Jan 6th. If you are interested, please send in the sign-up sheet or email me asap.

Parent Meeting for the Wizard of Oz

On Tuesday, January 4th at 4:30pm, there will be a short parent meeting for parents of cast and crew for the Wizard of Oz. This meeting will be held in the band room. Many parents have asked how they can help with the production, and we will be looking for and signing up volunteers at this meeting, as well as passing out rehearsal schedules and explaining expectations.

Wizard of Oz Rehearsals

Rehearsals begin Monday, January 3rd from 3:00-4:30. Everyone in the cast is expected to attend the first two rehearsals, Mon and Tuesday the 3rd and 4th of Jan. Rehearsal calendars will be handed out outlinning the rest of the rehearsal schedule at these first rehearsals.

Generally rehearsals will be Mon-Thurs from 3:00-4:30, but there are a few exceptions to note in the calendars. Monday rehearsals will be held in the library and Tue-Thurs rehearsals will be in the band room

Wizard of Oz- Cast

We have double cast this play. If there are two names listed, the first name is cast A and the second name is cast B. These people will be playing a minor role yet to be determined on their "off" cast days. If there are not two names, you will be playing that character full time. Cast A will be performing at 7pm on Thursday, March 10 and Friday March 11. Cast B will be performing at 1pm and 7pm on Saturday, March 12. Each cast will also be presenting two performances during the school day for students.
