8th Grade
"The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman" please complete reading assignments 6-9, and complete the essay questions for each section. Essay question #6 should be turned in on Tuesday.
"Stargirl" please complete reading assignments 6-8 and prepare for a quiz on chapters 1-13 on Thursday.
6th grade
Spelling packet due Thursday, May 17th.

8th Grade
ROOT WORD/AFFIX TEST ON THURSDAY, MAY 3RD. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR ORANGE STUDY GUIDE TO HELP YOU PREPARE FOR THE TEST. Also all students must submit their completed study guide on the day of the test. Remember to add a second word example for each root word or affix.
Classroom novel reading assignments 1-5, as well as essay questions on assigned reading are to be completed this week. If they are not completed in class, they are considered homework and must be completed on the day assigned.
6th Grade

Homework for the week of April 23-27
*Please note the important change in late work policy. In order to help prepare my students for next year I have decided to modify my late work policy. As of this week the late work policy is as follows:
Work that is received up to one week late will have a deduction of one grade level. All work that is more that one week late will receive a maximum of 2 points, and no actual letter grade will be assigned. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

The Black History essay and Prezi are due Tuesday, March 20th. All 8th graders will be presenting their Prezi to the class on their assigned day-Tuesday through Friday.
